- I'm following way too many tv shows. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep this up. Sure, "following" is a slight exaggeration because even for the ones I like best, I watch the season premieres and can't remember how the last season ended, but still way too many tv shows.

- I finished posting Story of Faith three weeks ago, and I think that by now, I can ditch the self-nurtured-illusion/pretense that there are boatloads - or well, a tiny pinch - of people out there who were waiting for it to be totally posted before they read and comment on it. There is a reason why, even when it was fully ready to be posted last Summer, I held on to that k!?o&j fic a little longer; I had a feeling posting it was more or less pointless anyway. Maybe if I had managed to complete it about four years ago. Or maybe not. Probably not. Whatever. Just another way that k!?o&j damn show would have made me sad and blah. I had an idea for a companion piece but the chances (or risks depending on where one stands) that it happens are lolastic.

- I should try harder to LJ-ing. I should. Obviously, I don't. In my defense, I don't do... anything fannish anywhere else either. Despite the numerous aforementioned tv shows, none of them makes me fannish, it seems. Some of them make me feel like waiting for the weekend to enjoy them with a glass of wine, but that's not exactly the same, I guess ^__^ General weariness and blahness don't help either.

- I like Autumn. You wouldn't think so given my current mood, but I love Autumn ♥

Ah, a factor I hadn't considered: me being victim of my reputation - if I have one ;)

But no, Story of Faith isn't M/L or M/S/L. It's a fix-it fic, and I tried to make it as canon as possible. There's Michael/Sara romance (sort of) but in a gen context, if that makes any sense: I haven't written a romance, I have written a story including a romance. At least, I tried to. The idea was to take into account all of the canon and "fix" what I couldn't stomach in S4 and in The Final Break. I'm not too happy with the plot itself because I "had" to go where the last seasons went with The Company and conspiracy stuff, but I did fix what I wanted to fix so I'm fine with my meh plot.

I liked S2, although not nearly as much as the first season of course, and hated S3 the first time I watched it. Being a Sara, and a Michael/Sara fan, I don't see how I could have enjoyed it ^__^ I was more okay with it when I rewatched it last Summer, because I knew Sara would be back even though I'll admit it was ridiculous. S4 is... let's say I watched it because I have a hard time letting go of the things I was once crazy about.

I really don't know about the tv shows of the moment :-/ I don't think I watch a lot of "à la mode" stuff. Actually, I don't know and don't care what shows are trendy these days...

In the last few days, Autumn has become a bit cold, at least in the morning. Colder than it should at this time of the year, but I don't mind. And I like the colors. Do you have actual winters at least? Something looking remotely like winter? I don't like heat and I'd be miserable if I had to live somewhere always hot or warm :-/

I'm sorry about the (half) empty nest feeling *hugs* At least, hopefully she's doing something she enjoys?

(On a side note, you know that what you call soccer really is footabll, and that what you call football is American football, right? ;) *scoots*)

Sara coming back in S4 just made the whole concept unworkable for me, much as I hated how they removed her from S3! I don't think anyone was happy with how that went down. :( So, it's no even part of my canon-- it's just off the edge of the map or something. Kind of like later seasons of Supernatural, which I was as passionate about as PB! Argh.

Once a show starts crapping all over its own canon, I usually can't tolerate it.

We don't have snow here in the winter-- it's just wet and rainy and cold, so more like Autumn in lots of places but without the good color! That's actually okay with me. Three years of living in Illinois pretty much did me in for snow. It can start as early as late October there, and last as late as April, and in between it never leaves. It just becomes packed-down, filthy, and hazardous, and who wants that?

Soccer still isn't much of a sport over here, while football is a huge part of the culture, so I don't expect that'll change! I kind of wonder if the Brits get into any purist arguments about soccer vs. rugby, and whether those are both football but only one is the real football...

All in all, in what they did of the show post-S2, the explanation wasn't too... unbelievable. I hated so much that they killed her, how and why, that after initial doubts, I was willing to buy it. Still not a smart move from the writers to kill her in the first place, but since it was bound to turn crappy, at least, I had this silver lining.

Temperatures can drop around or under 0°C/32°F, but we rarely have snow and when we do, it doesn't stick for long. Which is a good thing because I've lived in a region where there was snow every winter for a while. Not as bad as you in Illinois, but I still know how it is - and I was a kid back then, not having to deal with all kind of issues. Adult me likes it when it happens once in a while, especially around Christmas, but all winter long, thanks but no thanks.
November is usually not so fun - rainy and wet indeed, darker - but October can be quite nice. I don't mind colder weather so even the temperatures drop doesn't bother me.

I know, I was teasing you ;) Even though as a not-North American, I'll stand by my definitions. I make a strict distinction between football (soccer) and rugby but no idea what purists (or connaisseurs, which I'm not) think of it. I know there have been controverses but that's it :-/
Speaking of rugby, I do know that tonight France is playing New Zealand in the quarter finals of the World Cup... I wonder if French players have started to pack their suitcases to come back home already :-p
