- - -
Leitmotiv of the year
OT3. In case no one has noticed, I've written a lot of Michael/Sara/Lincoln.

What's the story that makes you happiest?
Four-seasoned love - it ends with a rebirth.
Draw, aim, breathe, fire (Seven Seconds of Shooting) and Seven Birthdays because I wrote them for the Seventh Birthday Challenge at uncuffmybrother. It has less to do with the ficlets themselves than with the fact that people participated in the challenge.

My favorite stories this year
Days and Nights (Michael/Lincoln)
Feeding the Cycle (Michael/Lincoln)
And The Sum of the Parts. Technically I posted it in 2011, but I didn't do this meme last year, and I have to mention The Sum of the Parts at some point because it's my baby. Nightmarish to write, only a few people who seemed interested in it, didn't turn out exactly how I'd planned it, but all in all, I'm happy with it - and I'm even happier to be done with it.

Most popular story
No idea.

Story most underappreciated by the universe
I can count the people who have commented on the fingers of one hand, so I'd say all stories are pretty much on a slightly depressing equal footing here. If I have to pick one or two, I guess a couple of Michael/Sara/Lincoln drabbles for ot3_100.

Most fun story
Michael's Kamasutra, I guess, but I'm cheating here because it's an old story that I dug up last year. Or maybe The Simple Questions (Michael/Lincoln).

Story with single sexiest moment
No idea.

Most sexy story
I've written mostly smut/PWP/erotica/whatever you want to call it. I just don't know.

Story with single sweetest moment
This (Michael/Sara)

Hardest story to write
Except for the aforementioned Sum of the Parts that took me about a year to write, I can't remember any of them being particularly difficult. Issues to complete some of them were due to my lack of enthusiasm more than anything. Maybe Improbable Encounters, but no surprise here when you try to write crossover pairings ^__^

Easiest story to write
Pretty much all the short, drabble-length ones. Stretches of Time (Michael/Lincoln).

Truest story of the year
I don't know, maybe Made for Reality. Every once in a while, I do write the Michael/Sara/Lincoln stuff like it's not totally a bed of roses.

Story that made you cry/saddest story
None really, but Feeding the Cycle (Michael/Lincoln) isn't the happiest one.

"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story
Same Difference (Michael/Lincoln/Sucre). Most gratuitous smut.
Improbable Encounters. It was writing the pairings for the sake of writing the pairings. On the other hand, the point was to force myself to write something - anything - and it worked, so not complaining.

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters

Biggest Disappointment
Meh. Lack of variety (I almost exclusively wrote various combinations with Michael, Sara and Lincoln). Lack of enthusiasm. Lack of interaction and feedback. Lack of other people writing for Prison Break. Not writing longer stories.
Why, yes, I'm rather fandom-and-fic-disillusioned, why do you ask? ;)

Biggest Surprise
No surprise. That is sad.

Most Unintentionally Telling Story
I usually don't answer this question, but this year, I'd say the title for Story of Faith (WIP) doesn't lack a certain irony and double entendre.

Favorite opening line
This is no fairy tale. (Made for Reality, Michael/Sara/Lincoln)

Favorite closing line
Seconds, minutes, or a lifetime; same difference. (Stretches of Time)
They linger. Flustered, breathless, backs arching and hips rolling. They loiter. They talk. They indulgently wallow in their impatience to take things further. With no small amount of fascination, they watch resilient buds puff up, open, sow and grow. (Four-seasoned love)

Favorite line from anywhere
I don't know.

Favorite title
Four-seasoned love or Draw, aim, breathe, fire (Seven Seconds of Shooting)

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
More, but less than the previous years and than I would have liked.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2012?
The odd (and far-fetched) crossover pairings from Improbable Encounters.
Michael/Mahone in Upper Hand, Lost Battle. I don't like the pairing and always need some serious motivation to write it, even when it's just a short ficlet.

Story that could have been better
Kids (past, present and future). The subject matter would have deserved a real story, but I'm not sure I'm still able to write this kind of thing for Prison Break.

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
Besides bothering people with the same pairing and OT3 over and over? No.

This year's theme and the story that demonstrates it most
No particular theme. Or okay, maybe ménage à trois/threesome/polyamory → Kids (past, present and future) or Made for Reality.

What story do you want to have written?
I want to finish my damn WIP.

Story I want remembered
The Sum of the Parts
Any story you reader particularly liked.

What's next for 2013
Finishing a couple of PWP that I've started weeks or months ago and that just need me stopping to be lazy some polishing.
The Goal (please note the capital letter ;)) is to complete Story of Faith (fix-it fic): I started plotting it in Summer 2011, I started writing it in Spring 2012... It's about time I wrap it up.

Now, I'd be curious to know what people who read those would answer to some of the questions, so if you feel like it... :)
Current Mood: morosemorose

This has far more questions than the meme I'm about to post, but just the thought of wading through opening lines and titles to pick a favorite just makes me tired.

I didn't do this in 2011 either. I don't know why. I've done it in other years, even though I don't think anyone but me reads them. But last year, I felt grumpy or overwhelmed or something. Too bad, because that was the year I started LJ Idol, but still...

I see a few I've missed reading here, and hope I'll get a chance to try them (though my follow-through is pretty terrible these days). One thing I can't read, in any fandom, is threesomes and polyamory, so that is in direct conflict with your theme this year!

I had posted the 'short' version of it earlier tonight, but I saw this one when going through friends of friends and I added the new questions. I don't have that many stories this year, so picking a fav title, opening and closing lines wasn't too much of an hassle, but I didn't go as far as choosing a "favorite line from anywhere"!

TBH, I did the meme last year, but I kept it my drafts for months, never posted it and eventually deleted it not so long ago. Since I still had the list of fic for 2011, I posted it today in a different entry, but I won't do the questions for it.

I read them. The thing is, I rarely manage to comment on those: answering the questions for mine is already complicated, it's even worse when when I have to think about it for someone else's list. I'm bad at choosing - awful dilemma ;)

I don't know if the threesome obsession would happen with another show. In that case, I think it comes from the fact that I have two OTP, M/L and M/S. And, to make it worse, I also like Lincoln/Sara. So, well *facepalm*
