I'm trying to write a companion piece for Once in a Blue Moon and...

- It's meant to be Michael/Sara/Lincoln, heavy on the Lincoln/Sara aspect. Maybe I'm a bit too successful here: right now, it's so heavy on the Lincoln/Sara aspect that I wonder where Michael has gone.

- It doesn't flow well. Not the way I'd like it to. Which means lot of editing and hair pulling after I finish the story - if I ever finish it. For now, I might as well title it "Staccato".

- I can't recreate the tone I used in Once in a Blue Moon. It's partly okay since this one is from Lincoln's POV and Lincoln's not supposed to sound like Michael. But on the other hand, it's meant to be an ensemble of three fics so some unicity of tone would be nice.

- Too much description, not enough feeling(s).

... so I know what the issues are. I'm just spectacularly failing at fixing them *grumbles*

Here's hoping for a breakthrough with your story. I haven't read the original, but I want to. I like what I've seen so far. :)

Sorry about that *hugs* But at least, I'm in good company ;)

The original is a bit weird. The sequel is only 'kinky' insofar as a threesome is involved - maybe the non-weirdness is a part of my issue with the tone, actually. But sometimes, whining publicly helps, so who knows, maybe they will (mis)behave the way I want them to, now :-p
