Somewhere in this building is my Prison Break enthusiasm...
... has anyone seen it?

- I want to want to see the upcoming episodes.
- I want to want to read Prison Break fics. I don't. It's not the fics. It's me.
- I want to want to write Prison Break fics. I can't. I can't write, period. It's driving me crazy just as usual.
- I want comments.
- On older stories too. (It's okay to comment on older fics, I won't mind, I promise ;-))
- I probably need a new fandom. Except I don't feel like watching... anything.
- I'm bored.
- And cold.
- And whiny.

Otherwise, I'm fine. Although bored and cold *g*

OHNOES.

Is there anything I can do to help?

Um... bring me back to 2006 when I first saw the show?
I probably just need to accept that the honeymoon has been over for a while ;-)

I squeed a bit at your icon. I love the "properly propagated" dialogue <3

me too!!! i always wondered how many takes it took to film that scene correctly. or how much giggling was going on! LOL i can't even say it once without messing up! once i start laughing, forget it, i'm a giggling fool and totally useless! LOL

It's one of my favourite scenes ever!
Clair de Lune: pb - michael3clair_de_lune on October 5th, 2008 12:09 pm (UTC)
This is for this kind of reasons that dubbed versions suck. When translated into French, the alliteration is totally lost :-(

"Once upon a time there was a handsome man who lusted after the sweet young Prince who lived in the tower, imprisoned by his wicked stepmother..."

Just thought you'd like a little PB AU to distract you from your PB Blues...I find it works for me!

*hugs*

Had a glass of wine with dinner. Is a bit sleepy now. Me not a drinker. Maybe should have settle for hot cocoa :-p

I bet that in your story, the sweet young Prince would be chained to the wall ;-)

Once upon a time A while ago, when I wrote The Pretender fanfics, I wrote a fairy tale-like version of it. Your "AU" reminds me of that ^_^

*squints* Ah, well. Looks like Lincoln's the one cuffed in this icon...

Late again, but here just the same!

Had a glass of wine with dinner. Is a bit sleepy now.

I think sticking to hot cocoa might have been a good idea! :)

I bet that in your story, the sweet young Prince would be chained to the wall ;-)

Of course he would! *swoons*

Once upon a time A while ago,

*giggles* It's habit-forming, isn't it?!!

when I wrote The Pretender fanfics, I wrote a fairy tale-like version of it. Your "AU" reminds me of that ^_^

It did?!! Now that sounds like a very enjoyable fic!

I think you're right; it is Lincoln that's cuffed...but if we wish hard enough maybe we can magically magic the cuffs onto Michael's wrists instead! Ready? *closes eyes and wishes hard*

Meh. I had hot cooca too, the day after. Burnt my tongue *sigh*

I hope everything's all right. You disabbled comments on your last entry so I didn't want to comment over there, but since you're stopping by... ;-)

Did you soothe it with some nice cool wine?!! ;)

I am okay. It's just every now and then I get really panicky about my inbox and all the fics I'm missing out on and I feel compelled to post like a drama queen! And the comments would add to the panic...but thank you, my darling, for asking and caring. Bless you. :)

*hugs*

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're mocking me, right? When I was in pain?!
No cool wine *pokes healed tongue out*

I am okay.

I'm glad to hear that :)
Maz (or foxxy!): Kneeling Michaeltuesdaeschild on October 29th, 2008 03:24 pm (UTC)
Mock you?!! Never! I didn't connect cool wine with sleepy, is all!! Sorry, sweetheart!

Yes, your tongue looks nicely healed now. Okay, you can put it away again! ;)

Yummy. Cocoa ♥

I haven't been a very prolific fic writer lately anyway :-/

I think it's the fact that older fics are being ignored that annoys me the most. Either people don't read them, or they do read (and since I'm sneaky, as far as I'm concerned, I know they do :p) but don't comment on them. I'm guilty of doing that too - most of the time, I just don't think of checking older stories - and it's really something I dislike about the way livejournal works.
alienmom: S4 finally embracealienmom on October 5th, 2008 04:51 am (UTC)
when i find an author i love, i will find everything they have written and read myself into a stupor! ;D i'm a little obsessive that way! LOL
Clair de Lune: pb - michael saraclair_de_lune on October 5th, 2008 12:02 pm (UTC)
Looks like every now and then, a few people do exactly that with half of my fic list. So, on the one hand, I *am* glad that people read them obviously. On the other hand, depending on my current mood and level of political correctness, it saddens me, annoys me or pisses me off that they won't bother with a "I liked it" or even "I hated it but kept on reading because I couldn't believe how awful it was" *g* It's especially true for stories written in English since I spent time on them, but also had some poor beta slaving over working on my weird grammar.

I know that focusing on recent entries is a characteristic of livejournal (which is kind of logical for something that is in fact about, you know, blogging ^_^) but... I still don't like this aspect :-p

If it helps, apart from one dear friend who went through and read all the stories in a particular series one after the other recently, I can't remember the last time I got feedback on an old story, either on LJ or pbfic.net. There's just so much being posted all the time, that unless you get someone who's on a mission to read everything one particular author has written, the stuff that was posted back in S1 is indeed likely to be missed.
Clair de Lune: avengersclair_de_lune on October 5th, 2008 12:08 pm (UTC)
The "comments on older stories" whine wasn't a rhetorical or random one: on a regular basis, a few people read/brownse through a fair amount of fics or just single ones. Because I'm lazy, I'll just point you to the anwser I made to alienmom :-p
Weirdly, it's about LJ, I don't mind it at pbfic.net. I hardly never check my stats over there so I couldn't know anyway.

But I can totally understand that most people won't read old stuff since I'm sometimes a bit overwhelmed with the amount of new stories too (this is one of the reasons I usually don't read multi-chaptered fics: I can't keep up with them). Not to mention that readers can be put off when ulterior canon has invalidated the story.

Oh, I realised that. This is the reason why I couldn't stand having LJ toys or anything like that on my LJ - I think the whole read vs comment thing would drive me insane. I've learned not to look at the read count at pbfic.net for that same reason, lol!
Clair de Lune: text - i knowclair_de_lune on October 5th, 2008 12:36 pm (UTC)
Curiosity killed the cat.
I used to have a website to host my stories and it had stats. No stat markers to add, it was a content management system including them. So I was used to have stats. When I started to post on LJ and dropped the website, I wondered how many people might actually read the fics.
I know that the read/comment ratio usually sucks very, very hard. Posting and having no readers at all is not fun, but having readers and no comments usually induces awful ideas, even when you rationalize and understand why people won't leave feedback *g*

Oh, and you're wise ;-) Me? Curiosity definitely killed the cat :-p

Um. Maybe you shouldn't trust me with it. At this point, if I ever find it, I might just steal it and keep it for myself ;-)

I don't dislike it, I even enjoy some aspects, but overall, it just doesn't work for me anymore the way it used to.
